As part of the “16 Days of Activism” campaign against gender violence, the U.S. Embassy received six local activists from FOJASIDA and UCF, two Angolan community organizations. USAID Mission Director Jason Fraser and PEPFAR Coordinator Regina Parham welcomed the group who gave a presentation to approximately 25 Mission staff. FOJASIDA and UCF, with support from PEPFAR, worked for over a year in a neighborhood experiencing among the highest rates of domestic violence in the country. The group highlighted their community outreach efforts, providing staff with successful messages and inspiration to reduce domestic violence in their own communities in Angola.
