Ambassador’s Special Self-Help Fund

The Embassy of the United States of America is pleased to announce the opening of the public competition for access to the Ambassador’s Special Self-Help Fund.

The Ambassador’s Special Self-Help (SSH) program is a grass-roots grant assistance program that allows us to support local requests for small community-based development projects. The purpose of the Special Self-Help Program is to support communities through modest grants that will positively impact local communities.

Grants applications should be for high-impact, low-complexity, community-driven projects ranging from $2,000 – $10,000 USD such as water tanks, latrines, classrooms, libraries, shelters, hand-washing stations, medical equipment, fishing equipment, and/or income-generating projects. Applications are due June 15, 2021.
