Effective September 15, 2023, U.S. Embassy Luanda accepts online fee payments for adult U.S. passport renewal applications. Please see instructions below for DS-82 online fee payment.
Note: You must provide a Social Security number if you have been issued one. If you do not have a Social Security number, please click here.
Step 1: Complete the DS-82 Passport Renewal Form. We highly encourage you to use the form filler online or print clearly in black ink. Sign and date the form. The signature must match the passport and/or ID submitted with application.
Step 2: Obtain one white background color passport photo sized 2” x 2” (5 x 5cm) taken within the past 6 months with no eyeglasses. See more information on photo requirements.
Step 3: Bring one photocopy of the bio data page of your last U.S. passport together with the passport.
Step 4: Include name change documents, if applicable (original and one photocopy).
If you would like to change the name on your new passport due to marriage, divorce, or court order, please include proof of your name change. Documents must be original with English translation, if applicable (ex., marriage certificate, divorce decree, court order).
Step 5: Pay the 130USD passport application fee via the U.S. government’s secure payment site. Print out the electronic payment confirmation you receive via email and bring it with you.
Step 6: Drop off your passport renewal application package with all items listed above to U.S. Embassy Luanda (Mondays and Thursdays from 13:00 to 15:00).
You do not need an appointment to personally drop off your completed DS-82 passport renewal package. There are no drop-offs on days the Embassy is closed, including major U.S. and Angolan holidays.
