U.S. Embassy Luanda will host two offerings of the FSOT early this October. U.S. Citizens who are interested in taking the Foreign Service Officer Test should visit http://www.careers.state.gov to get information on the exam and register for the test. The website also has information on the many different career opportunities with the Department of State.
The U.S. Embassy will administer the Foreign Service exam in Luanda on the following dates:
- October 4 (Saturday): 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- October 11 (Saturday): 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Please be advised that the registration process for the Foreign Service Officer Test will require approximately three hours of an applicant’s time. Applicants will start by filling out a registration package that consists of an application form and a set of personal narrative questions that, taken together, provide information about your experience and qualifications.
*Important Deadlines
- Wednesday, August 27 to Wednesday, October 1, 2014: The Pearson VUE seat selection portal will be open for candidates to schedule seats for the October testing window.
- Wednesday, October 10, 2014 (11:59 PM Central Time): Deadline for candidates to submit completed eligibility verification and application forms and schedule a test seat.
NOTE: In the past, some candidates waited until the last minute and either missed deadlines or found that desired testing locations were full. Please schedule test seats early. Unscheduled candidates will be invited to test during the next testing window.
