The U.S. Embassy in Luanda informs U.S. citizens that on September 26 the Angolan presidential inauguration will occur at the Praça da República (Agostinho Neto Memorial, Novo Marginal) from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. There will likely be restricted vehicle traffic throughout the city, especially in the Novo Marginal and Parliament areas. Expect traffic delays and an increased security presence, to include police as well as military security forces.
