On February 23, at the electricity professional training center, Hoji-Ya-Henda, an open ceremony chaired by the Minister of Energy and Water, Joao Baptist Borges, and the Ambassador Helen La Lime was held.

Fruit of the bilateral energy dialogue initiated in Washington, this training is intended to support the national staff, in order to sustain the objective of the Angolan government in increasing the access of electricity to more Angolans.  The training, which is being offered to 25 Angolan technicians, is addressing photovoltaic solutions that can provide electricity to the most isolated areas of the country.

The United States intends to continue support this type of initiative in order to strengthen the bilateral dialogue in the energy sector.
